I’ve been reading this thread with great interest because I’ve just purchased myself (Xmas present to myself after a very difficult year) the kraton 6s EXB and looking at all the upgrades which yourself and other members have mentioned and I must say the titanium skid plate for the back is a must but what’s the thoughts about this I know it’s expensive but I like the idea of when you mesh the pinion gear no matter how good you think you have it when you tighten up it always moves and this eliminates that amongst the opening use of more pinion gear optionsHey all good to be here, and thank you @Wojoman for the extra push over the fence! I almost bought a Maxx Wide last year.. then this year started shopping and knew the EXB was the one. I love monster trucks. But wanted a Truggy.. something different. I also have a 24 Kyosho Fazer MK2, 2016 Stampede, and a 99 Tmaxx
For this build I don't plan to go crazy, but get stuff where it counts. I have gone down the road with my stampede with upgrades.. now it is mostly back to stock.. but I destroy that thing lol
I will baby this more like my TMAXX which had become a shelf queen.. prefer electric. It won't see jumps higher than 4 ft.. and it won't be purposely beat on.. like I do with the Stampede lol
With that said I probably don't need half the things other people put on, but some stuff may be needed. I'd appreciate any input and experiences on parts and maintenance I'm considering:
Day 1:
Diffs, shims, and screw check. I am considering changing the diff oil to 50/200/20 or 60/300/30. I know some go higher.. and some say roll with stock first. But I'll be in there already.. may just check levels and roll with it.
*I prefer the front end to be mostly down and planted. I would be running on grass, dirt, gravel and open terrain. Just hotdogging around, whoopties, and small jumps. Some street. I have a Subaru.. i do live limited slips.
Upgrades:
M2C
-+1 Front Shafts & 6mm Outdrives
-Differential/Wheel and Shim Pack
Scorched Parts
-Titanium Rear Skid.. I need sparks..
*Not sure which i should do first (Gift Cards)
-Scorched Front and Rear Hub Carriers
Or
-Scorched Billet Top Mount Brace and Upper Carbon Fiber Braces.
Arrma 29mm Diff case for Center Diff
Garage Life
-Wing mount and Wheelie Bar
-Bumper Spring
-Roof Skids
Well under the Star Wars tree she goes until Xmas.. I took a peek in the box to make sure everything was good!

That does look sweet, taking apart everything the exb motor mount looks pretty beefy. Me, I'd do hinge pin kits front and rear, and front and rear hubs.. the skid.I’ve been reading this thread with great interest because I’ve just purchased myself (Xmas present to myself after a very difficult year) the kraton 6s EXB and looking at all the upgrades which yourself and other members have mentioned and I must say the titanium skid plate for the back is a must but what’s the thoughts about this I know it’s expensive but I like the idea of when you mesh the pinion gear no matter how good you think you have it when you tighten up it always moves and this eliminates that amongst the opening use of more pinion gear options

Nice!I got a lot done over the weekend..
Instead of doing a return M2C Racing let me use same discount on an exchange.. so I picked up their front and read Hinge Pin Kits. I wanted to try and keep my upgrades USA or UK as much as possible so that leaved M2C and Scorched.
1. I like being able to change A-Arms without taking apart hinge pin blocks and re locktite-ing. 2. The Delrin Bushings sold me.
So they were pricey but with the discount and not shipping from UK.. it worked out.
Definitely watched the YouTube videos before assembly, good pointers! After setup they seem to work well and smooth
Only thing is i goofed and we ordered the Mojave/Kraton rear with allows a rear bumper attachment. Not sure what I'll do.. buts it's cheaper to order the correct M2C part.. ughView attachment 405433

I cannot wait.. they are still in customs and the last thing I need to do to button up the build! The scorched front knuckles are one of my favorite parts. They're beautiful! And I've never had a single issue. Bulletproof.
I must admit after working outside in the winter and as i get older the weekends I’m generally more happier indoors so I’m slowly taking my time and doing the things I want to do to my EXB until the daisies appear and it’s safeTook the Stampede out in the snow.. good way to clean all the dust and dirt lol. Here she is drying off.. feeling very small View attachment 407925
