So I had some extra Christmas cash.. and couldn't resist a good deal lol. Thanks Joostin420!
I will be keeping this one mostly plastic, since it will be sharing duties with my Stampede, and be running on beach sand and stunting.
Just a few things on the cheklist:
-Shim diffs but will probably see how I like stock diff fluid setup of 80/100/80 for now.
-Swap stock fans to Rocket fans
-ADU Chassi Braces and Upper Front Hinge Block
-Flysky GT5 Receiver
-M2C Droop Screws

Best Holiday Ever.. lol 🤠🥳

love that new notorious body looks great

It may have been part of the initiation and buying decision lol... had to have it.. we all know bodies don't last forever though lol.. but yea what a cool body. Looks even better in-person.
It will be getting the shoe goo and Drywall tape treatment. They usually last 3 years when I reinforce them.

think they are supposed to last longer with the clipless system  we will see nothing wrong with shoegooing it though I've been doing it for years

Today the partial teardown begins. Going to pull the front and rear diffs and shim them, as well as see if the diff pinions can use a shim. In the housing.
Going 60/300/30.. i was going to keep stock, but i did not feel like buying 80k lol.. So we shall roll with the stockpile of diff fluids i already have.

Short Upgrade list:
Scorched RC Titanium Skid
ADU Front & Rear Braces
M2C Droop Screws
Rocket Fans

My Garage RC Parts:
Front Bumper Spring
Rear Mud Guards
Hub Cabs
Battery Saver
Kevlar Battery straps (Main stock strap is actually pretty good! Small one.. meh..)

Shoo Goo & Drywall tape.. won't need much

Redid all my Diffs Front, Rear, and Center with 60/300/30.
Shimmed accordingly as below for my own reference:
2 factory shims between housing and diff on both housings
Front - .3+.1 Ringside only
Center - .2 Ringside / .2 Housing
Rear - .3 Ringside / .2 Housing
The diff pinions were fine

Added Silver Rocket Fans, ADU Chassis Braces, ADU Front upper block, Kevlar Battery Straps And Flysky FS-BS6 Receivers. Had a spare yellow antenna tube 🙃

I have ADU aluminum Center diff mount on the way.. it was quite a surprise to find a plastic one in there.
Also Scorched Titanium Skid is on its way, as well as Scorched Carbon Servo mount.

I wanted the Titanium skid for this one, also I noticed the plastic servo mount and horrible flex, so David @ Scorched RC was able to let me add one to my order.
Actually had to take the servo, cover off to fit it into the mount. I also didn't rerun the wire through the ESC Plate. Didn't feel the need and also if I need to change out a servo I just want to pull out the servo mount. I just wrapped the extra lead wire up into the receiver box. 🙃

Just waiting on the ADU diff mount to add the Scorched skid plate. Seems pretty impossible to remove or add the rear center drive shaft without having to remove the diff from the chassis? Any tips?

you will have to take the back end off or the centre diff out 😐 centre diff is easier you mite have to unscrew the rear chassis brace to get the driveshaft back in (y) its a bit tight

+1. Just remove the tower center braces & the center diff up & out. I've done my Notorious V5 many times w/o removing the chassis brace. It's tight- yep @hobo said but it can be done. This is the way!

Right! That's how I disassembled.. was tight and came apart fine. Going back together seems tighter lol. Not sure if its the ADU Chassis braces. I'll try again!

It might be sure enough. My Notorious was easy with the composites. Then I got the Arrma EXB ones. It's really an interference to get it, but it goes. It's like- one way, it won't, then try a different angle, it goes. I think it's R down 1st- then F, can't remember just right.
