Granite Are Typhon 6s the ONLY 6s shocks that fit 3s Granite/ Bog Rock?

Hey guys, I put Typhon 6s shocks on one of my 3s rides but apparently so did everyone else as they are hard to find right now. Does anyone know if any other 6s shocks fit the Granite / Big Rock? I see the Typhon 6s rears are the same body as the Kraton fronts, so maybe they interchange? Let me know if you are aware of other 6s shocks being a go. Thanks!

Plug and play, no other 6s fit. There are the Trackstar. But I didnt like those while lots of others did. don't buy the no name crap off amazon or ebay, those are terrible. Check often and every day on Jennys and ebay for the typhon 6s, never fails for me it takes a couple days but I find them.

Thanks Arrmadave, ya I just ordered a set of the Trackstars this morning just cause the rears have been out of stock for a while, supposedly with Arrma pistons they are ok. I pulled the trigger on a set of rears off a Kraton last week before I realized they might not fit. Ok I’ll be on the lookout for Typhons, I have 2 trucks that needs shocks. Thanks again!!

I have seen some people use the Senton 6s shocks. They are shorter than the Typhon 6s rears, but longer than the fronts.

I have Talion 6s shocks, with tekno springs on my 3s Granite. I could have just used the fuel tubing like most, but I had already ordered the GPM shock towers. Still need to change the oil out, it's something like 2000cst

Arrma Mega 4x4, BLX 3s and BLX 4s shocks.

• Stock front shocks for the Mega and BLX 3s are 100mm eye to eye.
• Stock rear shocks for the Mega and BLX 3s are 115mm eye to eye.
• Stock front shocks for the 4s models are 106mm eye to eye.
• Stock rear shocks for the 4s models are 121mm eye to eye.

Arrma Typhon 6s shocks -
First and foremost as of the writing of this section of this thread the best option for the Mega 4x4 and 3s BLX vehicles are shocks off of the Arrma Typhon 6s. The best place to source these is from JennysRC.

For the Arrma Typhon shocks you will need something to take up the slack in the upper mount most use either steel balls out of shock rod ends or nitro fuel line.

HSP Shocks -
A lot of people have used these shocks with great results, the are cheap and work okay but there are much better alternatives out there. They are HSP Front 81003 and HSP Rear 81002 shocks. These will also require either the steel balls or nitro fuel line to take up the space in the upper mount.

• fronts are 110mm eye to eye.
• rear are 130mm eye to eye.

Big Bore eBay shocks - some users have had issues with these shocks coming with the holes in the pistons being too small and the rod ends are rather cheap.
Cheap ebay shocks these also need either steel balls or fuel line in the top.

Trackstar Shocks -
Springs that come with these are rather stiff for the 3s and Mega line and should be swapped out to whichever spring of your choice. They may work for the 4s models I have not tested them yet. And again will need steel balls or nitro fuel line. Rich Duperbash has a video highlighting what he used.
