If you are or plan to be getting into big air jumping, I have a suggestion. Don't screw your esc down. You are probably going break those two flimsy plastic eyelets. This includes the stock esc as well as the hobbywing max8.
You will save yourself some trouble to just use some high quality double sided tape from the beginning. It will save you the aggravation of having to pull the esc out after you break the screw eyelets. Using both the screws and double sided tape is probably a good idea if you have not broken your eyelets yet. A quality double sided tape will add some cushion too.
I just clean both the esc and mounting plate very well using isopropyl alcohol. That tape sticks like iron.
What has been your experience with breaking ESC'S loose on big jumps?
