I don't know, but I believe the manual only states something along the lines of they don't recommend changing diff locking at high speed or high throttle. Since the mechanism locks one output shaft to the rotation of the differential casing by inserting pins into dimples I imagine it probably grabs fine both stopped or under a slow roll...

i was just wondering because some people having issue with not engaging..the manual says don't lock at high speed or high throttle.. so im assuming they want it to roll alittle so the pins can line up.. if you are stopped and pins and holes are not lined up the servo is going to bind it up..
