Big Rock Arma big rock slow after spur gear replacement

I have an ARMA Big rock, it ate the spur gear, so I replaced it with a metal one, and now it is stupid slow, I'd be willing to say half as fast as before. Did I do something wrong? Or is there another issue? I'm lost.
