So I go to do my diffs meaning full service and was swapping everything into a Arrma aluminum diff case . Why are the insides not exactly the same .? A pic is worth a 1000 words.

Please indulge me . Thanks
And please no comments about that whatever it is lol inside the old one

The aluminum cup doesn't use the steel inserts that normally go behind the small satellite gears

I wish it did though as the steel pins wear at the channels more than they would if they used the steel inserts.

I had issues with the arrma cups:

I had to not use one of the gaskets and sealed the cap end with RTV instead to make the diff narrower so I could have room for shims to set the ring/pinion gear lash right. Also, the super short screws your forced to use like to back out even with liberal use of blue locktite. I ended up using red locktite on mine and will heat it with a torch if I have to disassemble.
