Hey there!

That was a great tip in the video - I had something similar happen. My buddy and I had to replace a broken suspension arm, and when I was about to toss it, he said, 'Wait, maybe we can fix it.' I wasn’t too hopeful, but he’s the kind of guy who loves tinkering with stuff, and its fun anyways, so

In about 30 minutes, we machined a custom metal piece that fit perfectly, almost like what you showed in the video. I was hesitant to test it, thinking it might cause more damage, but we gave it a go. We didn’t bash too hard, just in case, but the part held up great - test passed!

Now I’ve got a set from RPM, but that experience was definitely a fun one. Sharing a pic of how it turned out

It's always Nice to be able to resurrect Dead parts..

Ya Just need to scuff up those split crease and epoxy with some fiberglass fill, and sand that area down..

It'll be fresh as rain!

Good job. 🍺👍

Can’t believe it, but that’s exactly what he said - epoxy! 😂
The guy even melted the plastic a bit with a soldering iron, haha
Also he offered to wrap it in carbon, same thing really

I’ve actually kept that suspension arm as a fun little artifact -who knows, maybe it’ll come in handy someday!

I do that too especially for the front upper arms. It removes so much of the slop.

That crack can be fixed with a soldering iron and sand it afterwards. Or, instead of a soldering iron, buy a pack of backing soda at the grocery store, put a little bit in the crack and a few drops of superglue. Sprinkle a little bit of baking soda on top so that all glue is rock solid. Sand it, cover it with a black marker and good as new.

Thanks for the tip! Parts are never die in this forum
The way you described it, it almost sounds like a recipe. Do you happen to have a knack for cooking too?

That’s great to hear brother! I know it’s been done before but thought creating the video would help others

If it gets us out bashing quickly and cheaply then why not hey! It’s an expensive hobby as it is so making parts last is fun 😂

Bash on!! 🙌🏽

Your video is super helpful, don't even think otherwise! For beginners like me, step-by-step guides like that are perfect. In just a month of having my rig, I’ve already made so many rookie mistakes - itd fill an entire thread, haha. Kinda embarrassing, but hey, we’ve all been there
