It quite certainly takes ALL the fun out of it when you hit a wall. I tried so many things thinking this might be just enough for a PB and came up short. That's why I switched to single cnhl 6k 3s runs for a while. They were fun. Idk why it's so fun but it is. The single small lipo makes the car so reactive that it "feels" like it has more power than it does.
Gonna do some single 1p 4s stuff pretty soon too. My all time pb is 138 and that was 4s parallel. Hope to get back to that number or close with a single 1p. 🤷 but if I can't, parallel will get me there lol.
I think I have only made 3 runs so far on 4s. It is exciting but also freaks me out at the same time. More speed more problems...
I have made waaaay more passes on 2s and 3s.

There are times where I wish I could go run the car, but life is just too busy right now with my oldest son doing select basketball, skills classes, and private lessons.
Having 2 jobs I cannot get away from work unless its a holiday. Maybe thanksgiving week coming up

Same here. 4s is stupid fast when your pushing hard. I never really pushed hard except for with my typhon. Can't belive I ever contemplated running 8s 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it would have just been a very fast wat to "disassemble" my car 🤣🤣🤣

It is also funny because there are guys out there running 8s going 110-140 mph.

My very first 4s pass it went 142, next try was 146. It still has alot more in it!

@LibertyMKiii I just need an excuse to post my run somewhere else 😆😆 I know the thread is kinda done but this was a number I honestly thought I was gonna get back when it was more active.

Oh and it's a TP4050SVM with Smc 8600 2s packs I made from a v2 4s
Fastest production 1/7 car on 2s. That is a big achievement!!!
Pretty close to getting there where Mike is at with a custom made 1/7 car.

2s runs are tuff. Good work!!!

Kind words Mr. Liberty, I very much appreciate that. Hope I can eventually start running a little more. I went months without a pass and currently only go once or twice a month.

This thread will serve as the Arrma forum 2s speed run challenge.

Rules:
- Have fun and enjoy the journey
- Be safe and considers others' safety!
- Help each other improve
- Must be 2s voltage (any number of batteries parallel as long as it stays 2s LiPo max voltage) (4.2v * 2 = 8.4v max voltage post run) (overcharging or LiHv packs are allowed)(if your voltage is over 8.4 post run it will fall in the secondary HV list)
- If you are fitting in the top 5 spots on the list you need to show voltage after the run with a voltage meter as the others have done.
- Any motor (assuming we are ok with dual motors should someone want to run that, but will be split off onto a separate list)
- Any ESC (come on it's always the XLX2 ;) )
- Any tires (Rubber or foam)
- Chassis any 1/8 or 1/7 ("1/10" cars like Slash 4x4 that are truly by size/measurement a 1/8 scale are allowed)
- (NO 1/10 scale small touring cars like 4tec, serpent, Tamiya etc)
- Standard rules for showing GPS that we normally do.
- In your video show the batteries are 2s (3 wires) and if running parallel clearly show the connection going to the ESC.
- Do not have to return the car, but crashes disqualify the run

****Post your video link in this thread and I'll edit the original post with a spreadsheet of standings a few times per week. Also note the car so I can keep up with the list. (I'll track up to 2 of your cars, but you must tell me the model of car in your thread post)****

(Optional if you want to share what motor, batteries, and gearing you are running. I am totally fine with you keeping that secret if you would like)

Yes the race box it’s very nice I’m working with them to improve it more

Ideally the UI should have bigger action buttons. It looked like everything was hard to click on.
Usually we have a car, camera, remote, and the phone all at the same time.

Excited to see how far you can push this one on 3s. Nice

Excited to see how far you can push this one on 3s. Nice 2s pass there!
For me on my particular cars on average, it’s around a 25mph increase when it’s all said and done the most I’ve ever gotten was 27mph from 2s to 3s

My prediction would be a little less due to higher aero drag at these speeds, but I hope you are right!

I’m 100% right for my set ups for my cars for my particular experience. I can’t say that’s for everybody buddy drivetrain efficiency friction parasitic drag are some of the ones that I really pay attention to I’ve tested it many many many times for me on the average from 2S to 3S is 25 mph increase the most I’ve ever gotten was 27mph on a very efficient set up I mean, for instance I went out today on 3S the first hit was 144mph at only 326 A and only running 2-3s panther 6000s cold and in storage mode

Very impressive.

The reason I say this is because as the velocity increases the power required grows exponentially.
If the starting point is higher then usually the gains should be lower unless the aerodynamics are drastically different, but this is the same body shape as used before so that would not be the case.

Graphic example from prop 1:1 airplanes as an example.
