Limitless Arrma Forum 4s speed run challenge

This thread will serve as the Arrma forum 2022
4s speed run challenge for 1/8 and 1/7 cars (not the Arrma 3s or 4s line specifically, but a challenge for running 4s voltage)

Rules:
- Have fun and enjoy the journey
- Be safe and considers others' safety!
- Help each other improve
- Must be 4s voltage (any number of batteries parallel as long as it stays 4s LiPo max voltage) (4.2v * 4 = 16.8v max voltage post run) (overcharging is allowed)
- Any motor (assuming we are ok with dual motors should someone want to run that, but will be split off onto a separate list)
- Any ESC (come on it's always the XLX2 )
- Any tires (Rubber or foam)
- Chassis any 1/8 or 1/7 ("1/10" cars like Slash 4x4 that are truly by size/measurement a 1/8 scale are allowed)
- (NO 1/10 scale small touring cars like 4tec, serpent, Tamiya etc)
- Standard rules for showing GPS that we normally do.
- In your video show the batteries are 4s (5 wires) and if running parallel clearly show the connection going to the ESC.
- Do not have to return the car, but crashes disqualify the run

****Post your video link in this thread and I'll edit the original post with a spreadsheet of standings a few times per week. Also note the car so I can keep up with the list. (I'll track up to 2 of your cars, but you must tell me the model of car in your thread post)****
(Optional if you want to share what motor, batteries, and gearing you are running. I am totally fine with you keeping that secret if you would like)

You can charge it to 4.2v per cell and not be cheating.

I'm sure you all have seen them,new cnhl innovationrc 10000mah 100c packs...they are expensive,but not as expensive as the new smc 250c packs...I've had better luck with cnhl....
These new 100c packs cnhls #1 speedrun pack now????

That is a basher pack and my guess is that it will work on par with the 9500 90c battery.
You will still see the best performance out of the G+ 6Ah is my guess. With that said everything 4s seems to be sold out right now....

He did a demo of the product using a Kraton 8s pulling him in a wagon if that tells you anything...

I would call that inconclusive. I can crash while running on waaaay too windy of a day with any batteries LOL

130 on 4s is just decent. Considering I am at 126mph on 3s with a single motor that number on 4s does not impress me....
For that price point, I have to see someone do something really impressive with them first. (but that's just me and I could be completely wrong)

Can confirm. Just ran Two 9500mah 90c in 3s and saw voltage drop more than Two 6000mah 70c. I was over geared on both lol

Checking in. My limitless has been all set for 4S for a while now. I'll likely continue 3S on my vte2.

Been way to busy with work and that will likely continue for a couple of months, so i don't think i will be doing many runs though.

Also have a little busy with a side project. Made 1/6 frankenstein for offroad speedruns

I think that would be fine. The dual motor setup is sort of a grey area when it comes to rules, but for now, let's see it.

I set up swb bitty car up for this here challenge.just sent off all my broken escz to castle..only have a xlx for now....so check out these logs from a couple hits in the neighborhood.,short,very aggressive hits..got 102mph...1st check the ridiculous ripple out,normal for this esc..hard to believe they did what they did before the xlx2...soooo much more heat an ripple and only getting 400ish amps of them.no I'm not getting a cap for it..really surprised it's made as far as it has...been waiting for it to go so I can get a xlx2 from cc after I kill this xlx an send it to them for what used to be 152$..now it's like 175ish$I woulda intentionally F'd it up to save 20$..lol.

Then look at the 6000w this 4500w tp3650-3080kv is cranking out without breaking a sweat.
I even have xlx set at 355w max...lol

I think your right and maybe I’ll just have my hobao ready for this. Confident I can pull some strong numbers out of it as well.

Agreed, I am hoping to be up around 150 mph if all goes well, but uncharted territory for me...
