Arrma RC's
  1. Granite
Got my truck about 3 weeks ago an have replaced a few parts already. Long term I’m hoping the investment is worth it.

just received the proline 2.8 belted trencher tires an they look great an feel great. Major upgrade compared to stock .
a 14 mm wheel adapter is needed for these proline wheels to fit directly to the stock hexes. All personal preference. The wheels come in 12mm.
I purchased arrma 12mm hex adapter but for some reason it didn’t work an the wheels kept falling off. The center nut holding the Rims in place didn’t tighten all the way down causing them to loosen. So I kept the stock 14mm hexes with proline adapters. So far so good.
Also no more ballooning tires with the Trenchers. Stock tires expanded so much that one of the tires basically blew up on me.

Belted is great and $$$. Those plastic PL hex adapters are known to split. Just keep an eye on them. You may have to buy the PL $aluminum adapters$ if the plastic ones don't cut it. One major complaint of those new PL wheels. These tires are also very heavy and hard. I'm sure they feel different and probably less traction on loose dirt overall, as some state. 14mm and higher is the way to go. You never down size your hexes to accommodate changing tires and wheels. That's silly, backwards thinking and a waste of time and money.

Thanks for the info. The adapters feel good so far. But I’ll keep my eyes peeled for wear.

My adapters broke on my belted trenchers and PL warrantied them quickly. At least you’re buying from a good company.

Invested thousands in PL bodies and wheels over the years. Their claim to fame.
But I had 2 bad warranty experiences . No...2 Very bad ones. 4 Proline scaler Shocks and 4 pre-mounted tires. They pretty much led me on after sending them what they wanted back, and I waited and waited and waited. They kept sending me emails that the tickets were closed. I thought that was positive.
NO, both times I was sent back what I sent them months later with a SOL. No warranty accepted. These outsourced Shocks were leakers out the box. Could not give me rebuild kits or even o rings for them. I complained and all they did was send me some loose o rings they had lying around that did not fit. Out of stock and discontinued. And the tires did not meet their warranty. Even though over the phone they led me to believe if I sent them back they would replace them. They were poorly glued In their Mexico outsource company as the rep. admitted I was not alone. They could not be re-glued. $180. waste of PL stuff all inside of one month of purchase. I understand we all have different expectations of service. But I got a bad taste from PL. Not quick to use them for much these days. Even their bodies have declined in quality over the years. I would rather buy OE bodies these days than buy from them. Its ironic because I actually made a good relationship with one of their Reps. He still calls me from time to time mentioning PL and their new stuff and inside info. But he could not override managers decisions regarding the warranties in my case. So Proline By The fire and all their marketing hype is a joke to me.
But PL does have RC stuff we need. A US company that has been around for quite a while nonetheless. They dominate an RC segment well enough.
Just my opinion of PL.
