Found a great use for the Kraton 8s ESC and motor. The V4 Kraton just smoked the stock box ESC. So why not give it a try. I am starting with a 23tooth pinion. Excited to watch this thing fly??.

Post running vids!

If you are going to run 6S, I'd go with a 25t pinion. If you can somehow manage to get two 4S batteries in there, then go with a 19t or 20t.

Yeah my plan is to stick to 6s so yeah good advise on the 25t. I’m ready to see this rig fly.

You will have a ton of torque, that's for sure.

So far so good. Zero drivetrain issues with about 15 packs worth of run time on 8s
But they are not 1/8 scales diffs according some ????

That’s because they are 4100mah. What are these going in?
Not just because of that. The energy density is through the roof. A little math shows that the equivalent size and weight in another pack like max amps will give you about 3350mah. when looking at a pack like turnigy crappers it would be closer to 2,500mah.
2 of them are the size of a normal 4s buggy/truggy pack thats 5,000mah-6,500mah. They go in whatever. They push about the same amps as a 10,000mah 50c pack. great for 8s in smaller trucks as a 4,100mah 120c setup. Or for a low weight small footprint 8,200mah 120c 4s or 8s setup. Pluuuuus HV and a 10c charge rate lol

MaxAmps are some of the worst rated packs, so using them as a bar is a poor example IMO. Turnigy makes quite a few different packs, but their Panther Graphene packs are some of the best for speed running. I haven’t seen many others used, except for China Hobby being a recent popular brand.
