I know this is a basic question but I'm brand new to bashing: If you jump and your nose is going up towards a back flip, do you flick the throttle forward or back?

Depends on what you are trying to do. Pull back on the throttle to complete the back flip or push forward to bring the nose down and try to level it off. Hope that helps.

You are running 6s.... What C rating... What brand Lipo.. and what tooth pinion?

I can usually bring the nose down just by letting off the throttle. I only tap those brakes in the air when I am getting to close to the ground and still haven't leveled off yet. once you hit the brakes, the nose comes down quick. Too Early and you're going to land on the nose......or the roof.
