This is a concept build for the Arrma Limitless.

ESC: Castle Mamba XLX2.

Motor: Castle 1100kv Sensored Motor.

Transmitter and Receiver: Spektrum DX5 Rugged

Pinion: Maybe a 20t?

Batteries: https://www.powerhobby.com/4s-6500-130c.html I am not really sure about the batteries, but Kevin Talbot used these in his speedrun build.

Carbon kit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...in-20&linkId=39dd5f5708235fa22aaa889fff2eb582

Servo: Reefs RC Triple 7.

How fast would this go? maybe 120-130? Is a 20t sufficient or would something in between 20-25t be better?

This would be a beast, but I probably won't be building it soon, since I am saving up for a full suspension mountain bike.

20t wouldn't fit and mesh unless you ran a 50t center diff. With the 34t spool you need a minimum 27-28t pinion. And even 28/34 gearing with the 1100kv would only be about 85mph on 8s. With 20/50 gearing on 8s with the 1100kv is only about 45mph.

What gearing would you recommend then?

Depends what you want to do with it. If you want to drift and bash around I'd suggest a 46t center diff and a 24-26t pinion which is about 60mph tops on 8s but will be perfect for bashing around. If your looking to get into speed runs I'd suggest starting with the stock 27/34 gearing as I said on 8s that's about 80mph and a good place to start and get the feel and learn how to speed run. Then you can slowly go up from there to say a 30-32t pinion which would bump you up to about 95mph +/- then again go up few more teeth. It's not as easy as some of us make it look and takes a lot of fine tuning and adjustments. Also getting used to throttle control (slow even pull) and steering with almost no turning at all takes some practice and again fine tuning.
Here's my YouTube channel you can go way back in my videos and see where I started with a basically stock Typhon at 64mph and slowly worked up to 125mph on 8s. Then got my Limitless and had experience and knowledge so first pass out was 102mph and again slowly progressed to my last PB of 145mph. But as you'll see I had plenty of issues and learning to do along the way and sometimes the smallest things and changes can make a huge difference. https://youtube.com/channel/UCyem5aIkTlhlqHjhOQvnJHQ
