Arrma Typhon speed run car

Hi all,
Just thought I would start up a bit of a build thread for my Typhon. It started off as a stretched Typhon running 125mph.

I started chasing efficiency so when back to the SWB and added carbon fibre and some of the original plastics to get the weight down.
I didn’t get to make too many passes with this configuration but did get just over 100mph on 4s
Then I configure the car to run the XLX2 on 6s and 8s.

I made a bunch of passes and reached my PB of 135mph on 6s and 132mph on 8s. I could get the 8s power to the ground.
The car now will be going back to the white body and will be setup again to run 6s and looking for 140mph.

Hi @Stew Mac. Couple of quick questions. Is the current chassis an M2C Goliath or one of the lighter weight racing ones? Also, do you feel its unnecessary to run fans on the motor because its a speedrun build? Love the CF additions and the white body/clear roof design is on point.

Yeah the current chassis is the M2C Goliath. I have ran the speed chassis too, but with this game crashes are common and the speed chassis got tweaked. The Goliath holds up really well after a few hits.

I’m not a big fan guy. I’m not convinced that for the 2-3 second you are at full power that a fan will make a difference in performance. None of my speed run cars run a fan and some of the faster guys out there don’t run fans.

the colours are a bit of a theme, all my cars are pearl white with a clear lid. Thanks for the love.
