Just wondering if anyone with a typhon has problems with small rocks getting caught under their spur gear. There is a little dip in the chassis just below the spur gear that likes to hold tiny rocks... would cutting a slot under the spur gear in the chassis help or would it just make things worse?

Actually a lot of members here do that and I do it myself. It is a very good idea with the plastic spur gears they will last longer. I use a 1/4” or 6mm drill and it works just fine.

I did that and it works good... also I'm thinking of changing to 32p gears... lol more forgiving than the finer tooth 48p. I think all the buggies and short course trucks should have 32p
