Kraton Arrmas fix for exb rear diff?

Took apart the spare diff I picked up at lhs. Found out that these are now built with large shim under the sun gear.

Sort of matches up with what was found here using 12x18 shims ... I think folks here (myself included) used shims that measured up ~1.75mm thick.

Did you feel any binding with the new Arrma setup or was it fairly smooth?

No binding and feels smooth. Rather interesting is that the internals sit a bit high. Guess the o rings compress just enough for good fit.

Was this posted in the EXB forum on bookface?

Hope to find out whether this is a temporary stop gap until they redesign the sun gear or if this is going to be the permanent solution.

Interesting as they sure as poop haven't been sending these out for the warranty parts in the UK, just sending out gears an LSD plates with 30k oil.
