ATX 100 Range Issues

Hi folks, total newbie here. I bought a Typhon 6S BLX equipped with the stock(?) ATX/ARX 100. Range is all of a sudden down to about 20'. The coax rx antenna is pretty shot but I did take a crack at trimming and stripping it per a popular YouTube video, it didn't help the problem.

What are my most budget friendly options? Replace the tx and rx, just the rx (can you even do that?) or is there an easy way to just replace the rx antenna?

The antenna needs to be a precise length for a given radio frequency. If you shorten it, it won’t work as well. You need a new antenna.

I use the ATX100 with a Flysky FS-GR3E receiver it uses the same AFHDS protocol. You can pick up one of these receivers cheap.
