Soo long story short I broke the front axle and I need a new one I've been thinking about an aluminum one but it might gall on rocks. But I often get front end lift on said rocks soooo.

Its a very ridged piece so I think running it in the cold weakened it. But I think it was when a 1inch branch was stopping the wheel and the axle.An aluminum axle housing would just increase rigitidy and durability, but it wouldn't add a lot of weight, so you may need brass portal covers as well to make it more front heavy. (Also, how did you break the axle housing?)
Do you know if it fits 3rd gen?I run Boom Racing AR44 PHAT axles on my Axial SCX10.2. Coupled with Samix brass link mounts they add a significant amount of weight down low.
If the link attachment locations are in the same place, yes, but keep in mind that you will lose the portal axles.Do you know if it fits 3rd gen?
