Always gonna be good days and bad days went out today to try my new set up inspired by jondilly1974, made a custom 34tooth FOH Mod 1 spur gear and 28t mod1 pinion 3674 can motor 2250kv BLX 185 esc on 6s 50c battery, caught air and flipped , broken turnbuckle shock chunk missing out of chassis battery flew atleast 100ft but landed on the grass but now I'm kind of sketched out about charging it inside my house, funny thing is my gps said it hit 88mph before flipping so I guess it's back to the future

Sorry about the crash but you’ll make progress. How low is your ride height? Gotta get that nose all the way down to almost scraping the ground and the rear as tight as possible. You shouldn’t be able to push the back shocks down at all if possible.

Jondilly1974 thanks, should be able to do another attempt tommorw I have plenty of spare parts laying around just no extra chassis!! But is just a piece on the bottom by battery tray missing not a big deal, it's got the stock BBC ??? shocks I just took out all the preload spacers the front is pretty low and scraping The back could be lower I dunno if I can just cut a coil from the spring or use front shocks on the back (i have extra) but anyways hoping to finally hit over 100mph for real this time

Chance are you would be better off with the rear up high but stiff. Put as many preload spacers as possible. If that doesn’t work, then you might have to use fuel tube on the outside of the shock shaft below the body as a bump stop. Allow just a mm or two of travel. You can drop the height by using the tubing inside the school body too. This will lock it low and stiff.

Man I can’t avoid the BBC references

Hoping for this MPH ?? and heres a pic of the spur and pinion set up, don't mind me its dirty and not perfect

No burnouts , upon further inspection there was a dip in the road I was on so I'm thinking that tire left the ground for a second and diffed out and exploded

Yep that will do it. That’s why thick diff fluid on a speed runner is important.

Yea just stock fluid if anys left that is? thanks learing new stuff everyday, what weight oil do you think works good in the 3s 4s rigs for speed running
