I have seen people use it. It is nice, but I have the material to make the same thing for much less.
Nothing against Kimberly as she makes some amazing products but this is totally a crash grab with an astronomical price markup.

$1.53 for a clip board and $1.28 for clothespins from Walmart.

Does anyone use this thing? Do you like it?

I don't like it..
It's not allowing gravity to help "pull" solder into the brass fittings...

I DIY my own special soldering jig >
Find a nice spare piece of 2x4 , I drilled two pairs of holes into it :
1/4" holes for the female plugs &
3/16" for the male banana plugs

This custom jig holds the plugs upright -allowing the solder to seep into the plugs, and insulate the heat to give you more time to work the solder and cable wires.

The hot racing one is decent or just the octopus looking clips also work.

Just evaluating her jig, aside from price, I would pass. The clipboard spring clip is kind of cheesy and I usually like to put the connector mate on in order to keep the pins aligned in the housing as well as act like somewhat of a heatsink. I don't think the spring clip will allow much room for that.

My own setup is a small Harbor Freight 2-1/2" drill press vise and a set of helping hands. The Vise is good for holding connectors or a block of wood that I drill out for pins (sort of like what Tex has done above) and the helping hands with alligator clips hold the wire in place. Much more effective for around the same coin.

The charring adds some nuttiness, light vanilla and caramel notes to the taste of the connector.

Mmmm..
That sounds good. Makes me hungry.
Need to go find some snacks now...

Check these out. I have the one with two arms. They're magnetic and move around the heavy duty base.

I was just going to post this. I have one of these and its absolutely great. I bought it prior to my entrance into the R/C hobby as I do a bunch of random electronics soldering. I highly recommend this, the base is nice and heavy so it's not going to tip over and the clips are completely adjustable to help you achieve any angle you need. In the unlikely event it got destroyed somehow, I would buy another in a heartbeat.

I have a very similar one, indispensable soldering tool! No more of the stupid little jigs with magnifying glasses and terrible floppy arms that never tighten down right, lol.
