Usual build quality I've come to expect from you brian 😀. Great idea on the clearance hole in the Braces being as they lock in on the talion. Polishing looks top draw, autosol? Sore hands? 🤣

Thanks 👍🏼
No sore hands, I cheated 😉 Dremel with polishing mops 🤪🤣 ( and yes Autosol )

Chassis done 😎

Next up are the shocks, this is where it all starts to get interesting 🤔 ( or goes horribly wrong depending on your outlook 😉🤣 )

Your comment on my other thread reminded me to come back and check this out. Man this is going to be a sweet rig. Great pics and detailed posts.

That chassis is really nice. I’m going to switch my talion and trugified typhon to the light weight m2c when I get caught up on some bills. One thing I think m2c should make is those wing mount support braces for the talion. I think the one they make only fits the bigger towers but I could be wrong...

Anymore progress on this build? What electrics are you getting?

To be revealed very soon 😉 I just hope I don't bend it in half..🤣🤣🤣
Just had to 1Up me... haha! This looks fantastic Brian! Can’t wait to see finished product ..
Well, you know 😉😎👍🏼 almost done now..!!

Shocks and some other bits...
I'll start with something shiny 😎

So as I mentioned earlier in my post shocks were the next thing on the list, my intensions were to keep this Talion completely stock with fluids etc but I ran into an issue with the build I decided to go with..!!
I chose the M2C shock caps as I wanted emulsion shocks as I find them so much nicer handling 😉 but there is an issue when using the stock 2000cst Arrma spec oil.
I believe they were designed and tested with only 1000cst oil ( I blame you Rich and Eric 😉🤣 ), when I assembled mine with 2000cst the rebound was so slow I could have made a cup of tea before the car sat back at normal ride height after taking a hit..!! So I decide not to run it as I feared it would cause very bad handling and also damage the car.
Long story short and after a bit of drop testing I settled on 1300cst oil, they are still nice and plush and also have good rebound.

EXB shock ends and spring platforms all awaiting assembly, the obligatory green slime for shock shafts and o-rings..😎
( stock Talion rod ends and platforms in first pic below )

First attempted build with 2000cst oil, never took pics with the 1300cst as, well it's the same procedure 😉

And the award for most bling pimped shocks goes to me 😉😎🤣

Some shots of the assembled chassis so far, just waiting for electrics now..!!
Kingmax servo, same as the one in my Kraton EXB 😉 this thing has monster torque 67kg/cm @8.4v..!!
Shocks are fitted with the M2C delrin bushes at the tower end, I'm using the stock EXB front hinge pin mount so I can use the Arrma EXB bumper but as I mentioned before, I stripped the holes out and had to use bigger bolts. I'm not a fan of how Arrma mount their bumper at the front hinge pin holder..!!
Come on Mitch or CRCU you guys need to make that front hinge pin block for the EXB lineup..!!😉

Here is the front hinge pin block..!!
If you look at it here you'll now understand why I had to trim the bumper spring mount piece ( further at the top of the thread ) 😉

Scorched top plate, servo mount and some more bling RC porn shots 😉😎 I keep meaning to weigh my tower to tower brace, let's just say it's very light compared to the stock one..😉!!

I think I did pretty well with the fit and finish on the chassis tab mods 😎
( using titanium droop screws, I believe I linked them in one of my previous builds )

So just the electrics, wheels and body to go..!!
Let me all know what you think so far.
Come back soon 😉

Hi @BashingBrian,

I'm loving the build (and the dramatic tension building throughout)! I'm envious of your talent and really admire your work. Thanks for taking the time (and money!) to share it in such glorious detail.

Apologies if I am mistaken but would the Scorched Parts Billet Hinge Pin Holder / Super Basher Front Bumper Mount - Arrma Kraton 6s EXB work for you?!

Keep up the great work! Cheers!
That’s a great find... I wish they had em in the states!

I like to think I'm on the ball, and I keep in check with all the new parts available but I didn't even know Scorched made that part..!!
Thank you for the link, I've now ordered it 👍🏼😎
That was the only flaw to Arrma's design, now solved...
