Arrma RC's
  1. Mojave Grom
So I ordered a 2200mah 3s to go in the Mojo Grom. As y'all know the groms have IC2 connections. I already own both the 1400mah 2s and 1300mah 3s with the IC2 connections. The 2200mah 3s has a IC3 connection. Should I swap my truck and other batts over to IC3 connections or should I just buy the adapter to convert the IC3 batt to an IC2 connection?

My first RC I bought was losi with ec3 and I accidentally bought ec5 batteries. I ran the adapters forever. Now everything I own is ec5. Just get the adapters it will be fine.

I’ve swapped my esc plug to ec3. Did the same with the 2s battery pack.
Feels also more robust than the tiny ec2 connector.
Now I can also charge them without converters. My spektrum charger has ec3/ec5.

I don't necessarily mind the IC2 connectors as I haven't had any issues with them yet. My Spektrum charger has an IC3 connection, but I already had the adapter to go from IC2 battery to the IC3 device. The easiest route for me is definitely just got the IC3 batt/IC2 device adapter. I was just wondering whether their were safety issues basically. I've seen guys who were against using adapters on the car itself. But the adapter I ordered isn't wired so I can't see there being any issue. It basic just turns my IC3 battery into an IC2 battery. Then I just lol the adapter off to charge.

I used the adapter on my losi v100 and I ran it hard and multiple battery packs in a row never had any heat issues. I think you’ll be ok
