Should I charge my battery first, or should I balance first, or does it do it automatically?

If you use “balance charge” when you charge it (and you should) it will charge and balance at the same time.

Always set to store at the end of the bash day. Don't let the batteries sit on the shelf fully charged or at LVC. Lipo's don't like resting with voltage above/below 3.8V.

I know some will leave them on the shelf overnight to bash the next day, but I don't. I always get up at the crack of dawn to charge on bash days. I also always storage charge them after a bash day if I used them or not. Typically, "storage charge" will either bring them up to 3.8v or bring them down to 3.8v, so you don't need to do a "discharge" cycle if they are full. Both chargers I have will figure out what it needs to do automatically when I use storage mode.
