Granite Battery straps breaking?

I’ve broken 2 stock battery straps so far. The last breakage resulted in the battery jouncing around, getting chewed on by the center drive shaft. This broke said shaft and I didn’t realize I was running RWD until the run was over

I’ve ordered some cinch straps with both Velcro and a plastic hook to secure the battery in place. Maybe I’ll have better luck with them.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so how’d you remedy the issue? Thanks in advance!

Get the 4S straps so you can fasten them further.

The new straps break easily, I'm not sure why. Maybe they changed vendors.

Yes, seen a few break on the v3 cars and even the V2 cars. Never managed to break any on my V1 typhon or v1 granite so maybe they have cheaped out on the new straps. ?‍

I've only broke straps landing hard upside down. There is tons of straps out there, usually when you purchase new lipo's they come with a strap so I had a few lying around to fix mine.

I have the 4s straps on my Granite. I reversed them so I can run them over the top and down the side. They hold the battery much more securely and so far have not broken.

My typhon 3s strap broke and so did my buddys. Right at the heated folded part. I don't like how you have to buy all this crap just to get one strap: https://www.arrma-rc.com/part/AR320413

Good to know. I'll be taking extra care with my straps from now on lol And buying extra
