Should be just fine. BLX100 is 3S Capable.

The C Rating is the max current the battery can provide (and unfortunately usually not so accurate on most batteries).

I have a 120C I run on 3S, you can feel the extra "pep" when you run it but more "available" power should not effect how your ESC operates. If you run larger mAh packs for longer just check those temps, a better ESC fan will do wonders as well.

One thought though, if your buying a new ESC, maybe consider the BLX120. Then you could run 4s if you wanted. Or go with a Castle. Just some thoughts.
It's going in a rustler replacing the xl5 brushed system it doesn't need 4s

The C rate of the battery could be labeled as 1,000,000C and it would not matter to the esc as the motor will only pull as much amperage as it needs.

Just because it doesn't need it doesn't mean you don't want it :ROFLMAO:

I went BLX100 in my Rusty works like a charm.

I still have the original one that came in my Typhon 3s that I bought in 2018. The more recent ones come with a cap pack not sure why though.
