Bent shock shaft

Bent a front shock shaft on my Outcast. Don't wanna wait for the new one to come in. Haha thought of wrapping it in a rag and putting it in the vise to straighten it. Anybody ever try this?

Ive bent them back with clamping pliers before, your way should work. If not you could use the vice and channel locks or pliers to bend them back. Good luck

Sounds good. I figured as long as I don't put an marks on the shock shaft it should be ok. Thanks for the reply.
