So what did OP go for, im having the same dilemma. Im thinking of paying the extra bucks and go for the Scorched bulkheads but there is also ADU Racing bulkheads, they look good

I have a dozen AliX knockoffs, no issues with threads, casting, or fitment. The only benefit with the ones double and triple the cost is using “7075 alloy” material which is another can of worms.

On sale while they last. $20

I'd get the scorched one's if I was getting any
The Perfect Pass’ selling point is they “perfected” the input gear dimensions. I was just playing around with ScorchedRC bulkhead last night, and a .1mm shim caused a little bit of binding. I’d say the ScorchedRC has it perfected as well. I prefer the ScorchedRC, but I have the first generation that could run Arrma or Hobao gears.

Take 10 of them along with 10 independent differentials and you’ll have 100 different sets of shim assemblies.

These are not precision machined components at those prices.

I've seen videos posted on these exact forums of Perfect Pass's machine work this statement holds true.

On a side note was that you that tested the Ali diffs and said not to bother because the gears are made of cheese?

You might be right about Perfect Pass, but my Vitavon diff fits perfectly with zero shims inside my Vitavon bulkheads on both my 6S and 8S rigs. Similarly, almost every ScorchedRC part I’ve used has been flawless. That’s why I don’t mind spending the extra money—I got tired of constantly fixing issues with lower-quality gear. While no company is perfect, both Vitavon and ScorchedRC consistently deliver excellent machining, which makes them worth the investment in my book.

Correct, the sun and planetary cast gears failed on both of my 29mm RCAWD assemblies. Now I buy the 29mm cups and EXB crown/input gears independently which have held up well shimmed properly.

Either swap to arrma’s(also had internal casting problems when deleting lsd plates because of the engagement) or I now use Vitavon machined internals 👍🏼

I have a set of the Scorched shock towers the hole for the upper hinge pin to go through is ever so slightly too big so the a arm moves. 🤷‍♂️ Nothing is ever going to be 100% perfect ever it is a literal impossibility. Use what works for you.

My main issues with the Arrma diffs have always been the outdrives and pins on the BLX diffs and the outdrives on the EXB. The BLX diffs the outdrives and/or the pins would break.

I've got the arrma ones come on the EXB one shim in there and its tight but really good mesh

I completely forgot that I had shimmed the input gear on the ScorchedRC bulkhead. Specifically, I added shims on the inside behind the bearing, where it seats against the bulkhead. I did this years ago and had totally forgotten—out of sight, out of mind, I suppose. That said, my earlier statement about it not needing shims was incorrect. It turns out I’m running 0.7mm worth of shims behind the bearing. My previous statement about the shimming being perfect, and .1mm shim being too much, turns out to be a validation of my earlier efforts 😂

Hello Arrma forum I want to know what’s the best aluminum bulkheads for the 6s line. I trying to decide between the Hot Racing, Vitavon, and Basherqueen. But I know with Hot Racing you have to buy the cover separately. So what are y’all’s opinions on the three brands?
I have been using the aliexpress ones that are around $44 CAD for 2 sets of the complete bulk head. they lasted me 2 years before finally retiring. But those took some very hard crashes. I think with my improved driving this new set I have will last longer. they have perfect fit and good tolerances. you may have to shim the diff but they include one. I highly recommend if your on a budget. cuz here in canada a brand name all metal diff is like $150 for one side
