What's the best brand and size pinion for speed runs? The stock pinions seem to be made from powdered metal, not machine or Harden metal, so they don't last long.

Not sure, but really don't see why they won't, 5mm is 5mm, make sure to use mod-1. I run 23t with src belted tires on 6s & get 68mph.Hey do the Tekno two-screw pinions fit alright on the V2 motor shaft (& spur)?
I think the typhon uses the same motor mount, so I would think it would be the same. Could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time. Just keep in mind, that while increasing the pinion size it also increases heat. Thanks for the reply. I also have a Typhon what do you recommend on that?
I also use an IR gun, one of the best tools to have !!Correct taller gearing will strain the motor and heat her up, I keep an infrared thermometer on hand. I was thinking a 21T would be ok for some speed runs.
