I think I'm ready for a 4s rig...I wonder if anyone have upgraded 100a blx for the 120a esc? Would that work and would I need to swap 3200kv for 2200kv motor?

Imo 4s is almost more than the truck needs, but if you do it the easiest way is to drop in the blx120 and 2400kv motor and maybe the metal slipper assembly. If you run the 3200kv motor on 4s you'll probably cook it since it's only rated for 3s. Take note though that the blx120 is 3-4s only so you won't be able to run 2s at all incase you still do/want to.

Fyi I run the above described 4s setup in a granite and most of the time I still run it on 3s because it is too wild for me on 4s, so I am only benefitting from a more reliable esc and motor and not so much of the boost in performance.

I was kind of thinking along the same lines. I would probably be best to just go for a 6s rig so I can run it with 2 3s packs. I was told some new v5 upgrades will be available for the 6s line up. Quick question.... Which one would you prefer, Notorious 6s or Typhoon 6s?

Depends on what you like, if you want a pure stunt truck and do wheelies and flips all day go with the Noto. If you want a truck that is a jack of all trades but master of none then go with the Typhon. Of both the Typhon is most versatile meaning you can throw different tires on it and do almost nothing else and make it a truggy or a street only machine etc.

You're the man suchtragedy.... The typhoon was my first choice when I got the Big Rock...I decided on the big rock because I was just getting started with this hobby and it looked freaking awesome. I think the Typhoon wins but I'm waiting for the V5.. Thanks alot for your knowledge.

This is a good post to read if you're interested in some typhon possibilities to try later.

So do the diffs ,gearbox other drivetrain parts fr.the kraton/outcast 4s fit the big rock 3s? I am definitely doing this upgrade to my rock, but will deff go the extra step q metal gearing tougher drive train, deff gonna get thos backflip 4s LPS on her, cvdz, prolly go with upgraded axles / OUTDRIVES..caps sorry...
To me.it looks like.i could take a kraton/outcast 4s(Morse0 kraton being same chassis correct?) And just drop parts into the chassis if they are the same no? Prolly beef up tie rods etc..don't mind like tinkering. Please if.u have suggestions comments or.no don't do thats....lmk thanks, gonna get ordering some.stuff.for.this.

FYI same. Og blx100 burned up, so I throw a hobbywing max 10 in, qorked for a few packs and now the esc is not seeing any motor, I have a feeling there was an issue withe 3200kv oog motor.

Tha KS l m l. Ttys. Good stuff thx guys

The 4s Kraton/Outcast come with a metal slipper spur gear. It fits the 3s line, you also need another slipper pad for a total of four.

The diffs that come on a 4s Kraton/Outcast are the same as in your Big Rock. There is also a CNC metal differential upgrade that fits all 3s and 4s vehicles.
You can buy the diff fully assembled https://www.arrma-rc.com/en/product/cnc-steel-gear-f-r-transmission-module-set/ARA311072.html
Or you can just get the crown gear and case and use the internal gears from your Big Rock

If you get the CNC metal differential, you also need the CNC input gear.

The wheel driveshafts are not a direct swap. You will need new hubs, axles, hexes, lock nuts, turnbuckles and other parts. Check the interactive exploded views to find all the parts you'll need. This the for the Kraton 4s. https://www.arrma-rc.com/on/demandw...us-Site/en/Product-ExplodedView?pid=ARA102690
