The stock shocks were soft aswell. Im beginning to wonder if the pistons are under size
 
The Arrma 3s springs are considerably stiffer than the Rival MT10's. That will make them rebound faster, but they should be harder to compress than the Rival MT10. To slow the rebound use thicker oil. Pistons with smaller holes will also slow down rebound, but I haven't been able to find any other 11mm pistons except for Arrma.

Rival MT 10: Front springs 4lb/in. Rear springs 3.95 lb/in.

What size piston does the Rival MT10 use? How long are the MT10 shocks? Maybe you could switch to Team Associated pistons or even the entire MT10 shocks if they fit.

Trying to combat body roll, any time i hit the brakes the front end dives down to the dirt. Hard to take any corners with out it flipping aswell
 
If the front end dives too much when braking, you need to add more preload to the front springs. To minimize traction roll, the front springs have to be stiffer than the rear. Front end diving is terrible for traction roll. More camber, especially in the rear tires will allow them to slide more instead of catching an edge and flipping. Turning too hard or too fast will make ANY RC traction roll, especially on grass. You have to slow down for turns, especially when running on grass.

I understand this, i nearly have the preload maxed out.
 
Then something else is wrong. The Hot Racing shock bodies don't really change performance from stock shocks. With 3s springs and front pre-load maxed out, the front wouldn't dive into the dirt just from braking. Without any other information, or a video of this in action, I have no idea why your setup is behaving the way you describe.

I think alot of the problem is that the spring don't touch the adjusters till they are threaded half way down the shock body. If i cant get these dialed in i will be ordering the 6s setup
 
So the first 2 for the fronts and the last for the rear? Whats the difference between the first two?
First two are the same shock, sometimes the EXB ones are in stock more often. Mojave fronts for the front of your 3s typhon and Kraton, Notorious, Outcast or Kraton EXB front shocks ON THE REAR of your Typhon 3s. The top of the 6s shock’s needs a bush like the Axial ones or I use those servo bushes that come with new servo, I just stuffed one of those in the top hole.

Bottom line is that Front shock length on a 3s is 100mm and rear length is 115mm.
 
So one thing i completely over looked is that the oem shock with the main spring spacer is equal to the hot bodys shocks pre load screwed 3/4 of the way down. Thus why i thought the shocks were awfull soft. Currently have the front shock pre load screwed down max and the rear a 1/4in from max and its much better
