Ive had a big rock and v1 outcast for a while i love them both for different reasons, then i thought i wonder what it would look like if i combined the two to make a monster big rock, and here she is! I love it! With the 4s arms wheels etc its the same size as my sons maxx!

I was about to post to find out how much work this would be 😂 that looks awesome 👌
Backflip lp ftw 👍

Awesome! I was going to do this just for the beefier 4s outcast/Kraton cv’s. Issue breaking cv’s turned out to be heavy wheels ... running 6s.

🤔 Ummm, yep, that'll break em 😂
Iirc you'll need to change the arms, hubs, cvds, and turn buckles... Anything else? I'm writing me a list 😉

If going from the 3s to the 4s suspension, I'm thinking the list should be:

1). Arms
2). Carriers
3). Hubs
4). Toelinks/turnbuckles/camber links
5). Wheel hex
6). Half shafts (or CVD's)
7). Shocks (either the 15mm 4s or the 16mm 6s should work)

You’ll need 4s bearings hub end because they are bigger than 3s, also pins that attach the hubs to the arms

So does all this work with no mods to the chassis

can you find what hinge pins I actually meet to buy I already got the rest of the stuff in a cart and no need to worry about diffs I got hot racing metal diffs n yokes

hinge pins
These are for attaching the hubs to the v1, 4s arms front and rear. I know these work on the v1 arms because have them. They may also work in the v2 arms but I can’t confirm for sure.

Safe to assume this won't let you use the the 4S V2 hubs on 3S arms right? Different size and shape and all? I'd like to just swap out the hubs and be able to use 4s driveshafts, but I'm pretty sure that's a pipe dream.

I never tried to fit the 4s hubs to 3S arms because there was no point. The 4s hubs are a good bit larger than the 3s hubs. The 4S driveshafts fit the V1, 4S arms (rpm). But just barely. If they were any shorter, they wouldn’t fit.

Yeah, I was thinking if the hub would mate up with the standard 3S arms then you could use the whole 4S driveshaft. But I’ve seen some pictures now up close in the 4S hubs actually go on the outside of the arm, so totally different. I did find that my 6s infection rear hub actually is a pretty good fit with the rear 3s arm. You would need a different bearing on the inboard side though. And it wouldn’t work for the front at all. But most of my broken stuff happens in the back anyway that’s where the most load is.
