BLX 185 malfunctioning

I just purchased a blx185. First day, placed it in my buggy, hooked up everything, and it ran great. Second day, started up the buggy to test out the new pinion (16t, was running a 14t previously) and I get a fast blinking red light on the ESC. Steering works, throttle works but after 10 seconds it malfunctions, goes in reverse and revs high to the limit. Turn it off, reset ESC and tries again.........SAME THING HAPPENS. What's wrong???

check to make sure you did not bump the throttle trim on the remote.
