Arrma RC's
  1. Senton 6s
Anyone have any leads on 3s blx o-ring rebuild replacement. Preferably the orange nylon ones? Not sure if that's correct. Or will new ones w green slime work.
Thanks

I copied this from a FB post I saw. I ordered these orings, but haven't rebuilt my shocks yet. Not exactly what you're asking for, but thought it might be helpful.
Disassemble your 3S shocks. Open the bottom shock case. Remove the top o-ring, then remove the plastic spacer. The bottom o-ring might come out with the spacer. Insert a total of 5 o-rings (search 2.6mm x 7mm x 2.2mm on Amazon or your preferred vendor) into the case, Green Slime or Super Lube O-Ring Lubricant, and close it back up. Be generous with the lubing. Fill your shocks and reassemble, enjoy leak-free great performing stock 3S shocks

My local ACE hardware has a couple trays full of o-rings in the bulk section. Just find the one that fits the shock shaft nice and snug.

I want to find out size x rings will work in these shocks.

For a 4s shock with 4mm shafts, I'd just buy the Tekno pack of 16 red o-rings for about 7 bucks. I think the 3s have smaller shafts, maybe 3.5? I don't know what other cars may have 3.5mm shafts. I think someone said some Traxxas blue o-rings for shocks work well.

That's what I did and it worked. but i used second hand stock orings but it still worked. no more leaking shocks for me. don't bother with the Arrma rebuild kits AR330451 as it doesn't change anything. its still leaked. waste of time as I tried that first.

Sorry to revive this thread, but my shocks are leaking (again) and I'm ordering the smaller 2.6x7x2.2 now for the rebuild

Does anyone know the size of the larger o-ring on the outside of the cartridge for the 3s shocks?

The outer o-ring size for 3s shocks is 10x1mm. There are many packaged options available from other RC models, just search Ebay, etc. for "10x1mm o ring"

Thanks buddy

Found some on Amazon. There's 8x10x1 and 10x12x1 as well as others. Is that 10mm the inner diameter or outer diameter?

TIA

There are only 2 measurements. The diameter is 10mm and the thickness is 1mm, noted as 10x1mm.

Here is an example:

Amazon's search engine is complete garbage! Ebay actually gives relevant results.
Thanks mate. I ordered some for my 3s and 6s rigs. I usually get my spare bits from a tradesman hardware store for a few pence a bag and they may have even had these o-rings... only the world's at a standstill atm ?

So the solution is to insert 3 more O rings into the cartridge for a total of 5 O rings? I've recently rebuilt mine with new O rings but only replaced the 2 that were in there. Seems to be ok.

And what is a 2.6x7x2.2 o ring? 2.6 diameter 2.2 thickness and 7?

Just a follow up to my original post... my Senton BLX 3s shock rebuild with original arrma parts Orange O-rings and AE green slime have worked flawlessly with no leaks. The O-rings in the kit (which I posted are definitely thicker than stock original) if you can still get them... Careful attention to cleanliness and installation are needed though. ?

Can someone clarify this once and for all?
In the photo on the left are the stock O rings. On the right are O rings I have purchased based on the Information in this thread.
The large one is 10mm X 1mm. As you can see it's nowhere near the size of the stock one. With this size O ring oil comes out of the shock just by compressing it so it doesn't fit at all.
The small one is 2.6mm X 1.9mm. As you can see it's slightly larger than the stock O ring but according to the measurements it should be smaller than the stock one (??). I went to a store that specialises in O rings and seals. He said he has a whole range of O rings but does not know what size is "2.6mm x 7mm x 2.2mm". 2.6 X 1.9mm was the closest he had. As far as I can gather the stock O ring Arrma uses is non standard. The sizes quoted above don't make sense to me.

On a side note fiddlesticking Arrma...why do they put their customers through this poop.
