Is it possible to use the BLX120 and the 4s motor in a Senton 3s BLX?
I noticed the motor mount is identical when looking at the parts list

Kraton 4s

Senton 3s

Here are the specs for the two different motors. I'm confused since the diameter is larger for the 4s.

3s
Motor TypeBrushless
Motor kV (# of Turns for brushed)3200V
Poles4 Pole
Motor Length60mm / 2.36"
Diameter30mm / 1.18"
Shaft Length18.5mm / 0.73"
Shaft Diameter5mm / 0.2"

4s
Motor TypeBrushless
Motor Kv2400
Poles4 Pole
Motor Length68mm / 2.68"
Diameter36mm / 1.42"
Shaft Length18.5mm / 0.73"
Shaft Diameter5mm / 0.2"

Yup, drops right in. The blx100 and blx120 are the same size and the 4s motor is just 8mm longer but same diameter as the 3s motor.

You may want to consider the 4s slipper for 4s, it has an additional pads and the spur is metal. Also stock senton tires may tear on 4s so FYI.

Just a note about the extra pad on the slipper, it doesn't really help to take any friction load, its only used as a shim to compensate for the thinner metal spur.

My take on the 4s system is that i don't think it adds much value on the 3s cars, you wont really gain any speed, on 3s it's going to be much slower and the extra weight of a 4s battery is very noticeable on that platform.

I agree, on 3s you can already wheelie/flip over at just about any speed if you hit full throttle. 4s won't make you go faster, it just makes you have to fight off wheelies more often. 3s cars drive worse in every video I've seen on 4s. They're not going any faster, they're driving in a jerky fashion to avoid flipping over the entire time.

This 100 $ hobbywing esc is great.quicrun 150a I love it.3-6s blx has 5 items to adjust esc.hobbywing has 9,,but yonic an grc are right. I think the More 's is definitely faster but the weight is a major factor. My truck weigh so much and I'm afraid to jump it or leave the ground I'm mostly I'm going to use it for speedruns. I think 4s and above definitely makes it faster. But limits what you can do without tearing the platform up.. it's amazing the power these things can take with mostly plastic, stock axles, diffs, slipper clutch. Power to weight ratio is what makes fast. If you're ignorant like me and like overpowering everything then give her a whirl just keep weight in mind.reserch for lightest parts available. 4S is an absolute blast in my Senton

I'm curious, how do you mount the ESC without OEM mounting holes as seen in the Arrma BLX100?

Redneck Engineering with two sided tape and zip ties but it works. I've taken some hard tumbles and it is stayed in place so far.hobbywing is way more tunable.blx185 brakes only have 3 settings 50% be highest. Not near enough braking.h-wing higher, adjust timing, drag brake setting,an more tunable an cheaper also smaller.i thought 3s was minimum.on mine never tryed 2s.anyway if you get new esc buy h-wing before blx.
I've learn torun BIG systems on lower volts to keep temps in check even in july.then when you want to be stupid you can 2 packs in smile ear to ear. But then there's also a big problem with weight when you go doing all that also. If I took my ride to a skatepark it be destroyed in minutes. Weight and gravity would destroy it.do whatever fits your driving style. I've always liked tons of power and everything.cars, atv, diesels, everything. So naturally I'm going to put the biggest system in the smallest cars that I can afford to do. I like doing burnouts and Willy's all the way up to Street.lol just have fun ,that's why we do it.
