Arrma RC's
  1. Senton 6s
  2. Typhon 6s
Hi friends,

What else do I need or should pick up for adding body choices to my Typhon v4 6S ? I picked up these so far but I look at the shock towers and see a hole on each side of where the shock is but looks pretty tight. Either a bug or pick up body in mind with body mounts a smidge above shock towers estimating. These 2 body mount paks didn't show any screws/hardware included so just asking for advice or what's needed for best mounting options ?...thanks.

JGaff- I own the 3s Version of the #Typhon and what other choices do you have for the body since I have only seen 1 that fits?
Now I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a clear one since i like to custom paint all of my shells.

For starters there are a lot of Proline short course choices that are a close size in comparison to my v4 Typhon 6S. I have seen quite a few Typhon v4 6S conversions...bug...pick up truck...bronco etc.etc.etc. Looking for some tips for the best way to go ?

Right on the only reason i HAVE ASKED is I have never seen one posted on the forum or in the Arrma Typhon 3S Nation on Facebook!
If you see one, post it?

The body mounts in the OP will get the body up high enough. They are what I used for my Typhon/Siren conversion. I think the rear body mount bolted right up, but the front one needed 1 more hole drilled for each body mount. Easy job, if you have a dill motor. If you can find some Senton 6s body mounts, they will need a bit more custom fiddling to get them to fit, but once mounted, they will be a near perfect match for any SCT body. For my Spare Parts Outcast, I used Senton body mounts.

Which ever you do, once you have them, pretty much any SCT body will fit the Typhon. If you have MT wheels, you will need to trim the finders, though. If you use the Talion body mounts, some bodies (like the VW Bug) will have issues mounting, as they are designed for SCT standard mounts - like the Senton mounts.

Ok let's get to the exact fit and question...What do I need or what's the best way to go to put the Proline Bug on my Typhon v4 6S ? Who's done it...how...pictures...parts and links please.

That body set (plus some screws and trimming) will get you going. The Senton mounts are made to hug the shock tower different than the other body mount sets, so you need to trim some of the lip off the body mount so it fits the Typhon tower. Or you could swap to Senton6s towers, if you could find them.
Here is the Senton mount on the front of my Outcast. Note, this is a Talion shock tower. Notice does not really fit, and I trimmed the ends. Works great, though. For the mounting screws, I have them nutted on the other side.

I had forgotten that on the back of this truck, I had swapped the Senton mount for another Talion mount, as the Outcast truck bed is too narrow for the Senton mounts.

Thanks Jerry.

What body posts can I buy that fit the Typhon v4 6s, to run Touring bodies on it? I mainly use my Typhon on asphalt and wanna get a Different type of body on it. Thanks in advance

Hi WaxnDabs if the bodies you have in mind would sit above the shock towers and beyond the front shock tower I think your in the same boat as me just height differences. Here's what I have on the way to get the Typhon done. I'm ok with having a few things extra cause we have 2 other rc's that next winter will get body love...good luck & Happy RCing !

Thanks! I actually bought some senton body posts mounts a while back and got frustrated because I couldn't figure it out and I lost them!! I remember the mount didn't fit my front shock tower like if it was too small and I needed something bigger. I'm going to to give it a go again but I'll have to be more creative this time.

Yes creativity and a little fabricating usually is part of body changing...but hey that's what is fun about it (y)

I used the Senton posts on my Typhon as well. There are a few spots you will need to trim, or you could just buy some Senton towers if you want a cleaner look.

Along time ago someone did recommend me senton towers. I want to throw a GT body on it the body says it's 328mm wheelbase. This is how my typhon currently looks

One last thing! Do you have the link for the screws for the body posts to attach onto the typhon? I remember that was a problem for me when I tried to do the posts last time. I didn't have screws that size.
The Delta Plastiks Jag body is a very popular one that will fit.

I just finished my paint job last night on mine.

Yeah I actually was looking at DeltaPlastik since last year, I just haven't been able to do the swap. I've been using my Typhon on asphalt alot lately and figured it's only right to throw on a OnRoad body lol.

Arrma x Tamiya fun

I found these screws, would they fit the body posts and shock towers to secure them on?

Thanks in advance
