Really? I’ll have to revisit the tons I have in my clips drawer. The skinnier ones do bend during my many roof landings. That would be worth opening up the holes a bit. Channel locks for bending them is a good idea. Chap stick, huh? Makes sense.

I even put a dab of Chap Stick on the clips. After some use they break in and slide in and out much more easily.

Hmm. I'll try that as well.

The materials I come across on this forum are always interesting.

You don't need to waste money buying anything. Either open up the clips a little or drill out the hole in the posts a small amount.
