Alright guys, who’s done some body mods to increase air flow and cooling? I’m gonna order the scorched parts fenders and plan is to run an 18t and dual Powerhobby fans and want to make sure I have plenty of air. Anyone have some examples?

A guy here in the uk has cut out behind the drivers and fitted 2 xbox 360 fans to suck out the heat

I’ve been looking yesterday at doing something like that ?

Take driver and co pilot out. Wide open. I’m going hammer time w my rig and barely see 140 temps. And I’m 4985 w 22/46t.

I’m gonna mess around and see about rigging up some fans. I like the whole cockpit thing so I’m gonna try some things with it in first. Want to start experimenting now so when I upgrade to a bigger can, temps should be even better.

I mite just open it up behind the drivers and fit some mesh to let the heat out.

That's mine done

If I don’t trade this or sell it to buy a limitless, I’ll be adding a couple more to the rear to pull the air out, these are set to blow air in. I’ll see how it works for temps tomorrow

Perfect!! I personally like push than pull. But apparently only works if it’s not moving lol. Had this set up getting the heat out of my senton. She liked to run hot and she was a freak of nature. 22t 38t spooled

Well my thinking is, with the placement, it’ll be pulling air in from the front and with bigger fans in behind them, it’ll push the air out. In my mind, creating a decent amount of airflow over the electronics and it will be cooler than air just trapped in the body. I should be able to run a 20t without heat issues with that set up. Currently running a 19t and it does great without these 2 fans.
And I’ll add how non-descript these are while installed. Better looking to me than just taking the cockpit out.

I love it. I liked how the senton body had inlets on the body to allow air to move thru. I’m noticing higher esc temps w the tbone front gaurds. She runs a lot cooler w em off.
I’m constantly changing tires for the terrain i beast in so I get higher temps w bigger wheels obviously shorter run times. However w these NTF fans I can’t get the motor hotter than 125. I’m on 22/46.

So those fans did wonders. 87 degrees, 5000mah pack to Lvc and temps were 101 esc, 94 battery and 115 motor. That’s on a 19t pinion, doing speed runs, drifting in dirt, tall grass and just giving it the beans

Some great ideas here, I may try the screen in the rear deck like Martin34, not a real whizz with electronics, afraid I would botch something adding a fan. The outside temp was 107°F today while I was running mine, afraid to know the esc temp.

It’s easy. I bought some 40mm fans from a main, a long y harness and made some holes for the fans. Hardest part is making sure the cutout isn’t too big
