  3. Outcast 6s
Picked up a used Outcast a couple days ago and decided I need a way to document parts purchased and the transformation of my stunt truck.
First night hanging with the guys good times. Got some pics of a good friend rc bash collection. A few 6s up builds.

Took it out the next day and sent it flying down a dirt road. Got it too close to the embankment and sent it tumbling. It did at least about 10 cartwheels at 15 mph landed lost the wing somewhere and kept going . Nothing broke until I made it back home and turned the wheel right. Found the servo gears to be stripped. Kicked around rebuilding the factory servo, but found a local hobby store and picked up a Savox sa 1231sg. It has 444.4 oz-in of torque in at 6v. Runs good for me.

Note to self: Due to the extra height of the sa 1231sg the stock servo mount legs will not touch the chassis when using this Savox servo.

Thinking about throwing some diamond plate aluminum on the bed. Might do a couple skid pads with the same material.
It might start making it a bit top heavy.

It might start making it a bit top heavy.

I though of that, but its light weight. Plus they will protect the body while I learn to drive this thing. Punch 9 os fun but not too drivable yet. Stepped back down to p4 for time beeing? gonna try to slide a bmx ramp in somewhere?

I like it. It's the thin stuff ya find in home depot. Prob will redo it and clean it up a bit.

Should help prevent cracking the body when lifting the truck from the crash bar.

Broke a control arm going through some rocks. Gonna pop on a spare for now. Trying to find rpm c arms locally has proven to be challenging atm. Looks like i need a center diff as well. Dog bones chew into one. I may end up ordering online if I can find them.

Upgraded the diff fluid to 50k with bits/chuncks of ear plug and 30k in the rear. Truck totally handles better. New foam in the tires. Just jumps and gets to top speed with no worries of the front end flying up like stock. Got a new bashing spot next to the house thanks to the construction going on. Been bashing past few weeks trying to take advantage while I still can. Good times.

Ok, so I stripped the screws in the diff housing that hold the shock towers. Then I ordered online and picked up a 50pk of 20mm 3m socket head bolts and locking nuts from a location down the road. I wanted the bolts to run through the hoising so I could put bolts on them.
The top rear diff bolts are a little short to put bolts on, so I'll try 25mm in those next. For time being I just used thin strands of wire from left over amp 2 gauge wire. The lower bolts are long enough that the end of the thread sits flush with the nylon insert in the locking nut. No drilling required to run the screws through the diff housing ears was needed. They just run straight through.
Made some 15ft high jumps and nothing broke. Later I managed to ram a 4x4 sitting in a ditch and tore off the front bumper lmao! Ordered a. The t bone thrasher front bumper for the kraton. Hope it fits my outcast ? Made an order for the basher bearing kit @ jims complete with motor bearings?
Next will be a backup esc fan, a complete control arm set and m2c shock caps.

Finally got that Bumper in. The bumper is for a kraton 6S. I had to modify it with (4) new holes for the chassis that go to the diff housing and the lump ground out a bit further toward the front. Looks darn good and functions really well it's a solid bumper. Slammed into a concrete corner doing about 30mpg and it still looks like new minus a couple scratches.

Rebuilt the center and rear diff using the new HR diff cases.no more leaks!? One using factory gears... Shock oil as well. Went 70w in the rear and 90w in the front. I like how it handles and lands. Got a new BLX esc fan. Changed the ring gear and diff cup gear. Got another set of reaction batts. Back to bashing. Time for new tires and other upgrades.

Fyi the techno part in the pic was listed as the correct input here on this site. It is incorrect for the 6s lineup. Too small.

Went to service my front diff due to issues with the rear. Found it low on silicon. Luckily the grub screw is still in place. I noticed the t-bone bumper split the lower two mount holes on the diff house. So... I purchased the HR diff housing and longer screws incase a screw breaks I'll be able to pull it from the back. Got another 30mm fan made by Protek. I plan to keep it as a backup for the esc. Lastly body mounts... Broke those my first month of owning this OC. Next up likely shock towers or chassis idk. JB, scorched or the like. Not sure yet.

Here is the diff housing. Also must of broke the front chassis brace at some point. Ugh... Likely one of those rocks or a lawn dart moment haha. Luckily I bought those rpm arms and HR parts in post#15??. That $50 bucks on those sure worked out. Truck drives different and little bit better now. Might be due to the extra weight from the shoe goo and HR parts added. Will likely pick up the rear as well. Good hobby to have for sure?

Picked up a FRESHPARK ramp set for $50 bucks. Must be my lucky number... Made some mods to the angles and this is what I came up with. Since there's two ramps I will mod the second as well.
