Arrma RC's
  1. BigRock 4x4
  2. Kraton 6s
  3. Voltage
Started a little project with my son. We added more power to his brcc. We also have the HR hub extenders and mx28’s on it. But of course we wanted more. So I got some parts:
Rpm f/r typhon 3s a arms
6 typhon turnbuckles
Rod end kit
Alpine racing? sealed bearings
HR f/r shock bodies
HR bell crank
HR steel spur
HR aluminum pivot balls
HR diff yokes f/r
20kg DS servo from Amazon
2-input gears for the diffs
New center driveshaft
Arrma cvd axles f/r
Team associated 100k/50k diff oil
Team associated 60w/40w shock oil
Blue Loctite
A concerned wife
And 3 handles of titos... little man will be back from his moms tomorrow and for the weekend. Hopefully the rest of our parts can come in. Here’s a few picks of the break down...

You been hoarding that HR stock bro? :ROFLMAO: I need me some pivot balls and the bellcrank but they’ve been out of stock. Looks good. You going with the stock body?

Haha I stocked up and had some help from a few good people locating parts! We had a build plan and with all that’s going on and my essential personne work schedule/divorced dad schedule it’s been tough. I want my son to work on it with me from start to finish. He’s here 3 days a week so it’s been tough! I got most of the parts on eBay because all the hobby shops were closed by me.

Stock body for now but dad tends to change his mind often hahaha the body is in decent shape. Just some road rash and a few holes I put in it doing speed runs on 4s hahaha

That's awesome Dad! He's a lucky little guy.

Lots of nice upgrades! Great work and great Dad!

Question - what motor/ESC upgrades did you do? What mods did you do to handle the increased power?

Thanks. His rc’s get all the upgrades and mine stay stock for the most part haha.

We installed a Queen hobby Racing 3674 2950kv 2s/4s motor and blx 185 esc in it. We had the max10sct esc in It with the stock motor but my son decided he wanted to use his truck as a boat lol So I had to buy another motor and use my backup esc. We put the 4s slipper clutch setup in it from the Kraton 4s but we some how broke a tooth on the spur gear so We’re trying the HR gear. The stock axles are getting some play and we got the arrma cvds which should last longer and handle the added power in theory

Got some practice installing the hot racing front shock bodies and pivot balls before my son comes over today. I can teach him how to do the rears with a lot less cursing haha. I was getting mad because I couldn’t get the 2 o rings in the cup. I realized I had the spacer in upside down and had to stack the o rings instead of sandwiching the spacer in the cup. The second shock only took a few minutes to rebuild. They seem pretty smooth compared to stock. Maybe it’s the oil I used? Or maybe the stock shock piston rides in the shock body better... idk. I hope they don’t leak...

The picture in this post was super helpful when putting together the Hot Racing shock bodies.

Here an update on our progress so far. Some I ended up doing myself because of scheduling and my sons poor choices. We put 4hrs in last night and 2-3hrs more today. Just a few more things to do before we give it a rip this weekend. It’s been a long time coming... we added a few parts from our previous post. Had a few issues with bearings, driveshaft, axle and turn buckles. I messed up the setting on the turn buckles and had to redo them... I had too much titos and set them up the same thread count as stock and didn’t realize we got wider a arms and turn buckles haha. One axle screw stripped out so I had to hack it off..I’m sure we will have a few more tweaks but that’s part of it! It rolls so much smoother with the new bearings. The steering slop is almost gone....now that we got him all set up, I can start upgrading my k6s ... sorry for all the pictures. I don’t have a Working computer to sit and explain each one. Y’all can figure It out Haha any questions and I’ll be glad to explain . Thanks for the help and input from you guys out there!!! Without you, I would’ve never made it this far !
