Finally able to start a build log for my kraton. I’ve been amassing parts for months now and plan on starting to wrench on it this weekend. Bought a new stock V4 kraton back in the beginning of summer 2019 and I had A blast beating the crap out of it the last 6 months. I pushed it to the limits and inevitably bent the chassis. So I naturally bought the m2c chassis with plans of swapping it out. Then changed my mind and decided to wait till I had gotten all the m2c goodies and some hot racing ones as well. So here’s the beginning of what I hope will be the toughest basher around. And it will certainly be no shelf queen ?

Getting the front a rear bulkheads put together. I’ll be running hot racing complete diff case in the rear with voltage suspension mounts. Stock diff case in the front with hot racing suspension mounts. Also got hot racing steering assembly and m2c Ackerman bar. And fast eddy bearings in everything ?? Haven’t decided if I’m going with hot racing diff cups all around or not. Not sure if it’s worth it in front and rear. Maybe just for center? Havin fun wrenching it all together ??

I’ve had nothing but problems with the hot racing diff cup . Since then I’ve switch to the red arrma case and never had a problem since . I would recommend them over hot racing
Also stay away from the hot racing center spur . I’m not sure if my mesh was bad or what but this was on the first test out

Thanks for your advice! What’s the part number for the red arrma cup? I don’t think I’ve ever seen them. And yeah I haven’t had issues with any stock arrma spur gears so I was just sticking with that!

Adding a little more everyday. Got the motor mount and hot racing center diff+HR diff mount set up along with Volatge hobbies front and rear chassis braces. The m2c shock towers look so good!! And had to get the rear tower support of course. Anyone else try to run that with an RPM wing mount? Cause there isn’t enough clearance for it so I had to trim away some wing mount material with the dremel. Handy little tool ????

I'm running an rpm wing mount with mine and didnt need to trim it at all was a little tight but I just backed out the smaller screw on the chassis brace support and it bolted up fine.
Next time try the other hot racing diff cup as well I think its built a little better in my opinion.

In your first post, is the bmx track the one in Lumberton NJ or another I don't know about? Looks like maybe Lumberton, fun spot...

It sure is and that’s thanks to you haha. I might be going back there on Sunday if I finish this build

Yeah I probably shouldn’t have tried to install with the other screw tightened up but it’s all good. Have you tried that diff cup? It does look nice. And 10 bucks cheaper haha

I have to get over there again. Theres also a little pump track in Doylestown no one is at this time of year. Pretty tight though. Good place for 4s buggy or 1/10 mt.

I don't know what its called but theres a public pool there, a park and trout hatchery all tied together. Pretty nice place but as you can imagine lots of people when the weather turns nice.

I had the same issue, my rpm wing mount had to be trimmed a bit to clear the M2C tower brace. ?‍♂️

Yeah I have been running it on my infraction with 500k and its mint?

Yeah I’m sure m2c made it to fit with a stock one and rpm is always slightly different in their design compared to stock but hey it works with some trimming so I’m good with it haha

Think I found it. Only 20 mins from me. I’ll prob go check it out after work ??
This is looking awesome man. Since you’re going all out have you seen the motor mount from @PPS-RC? Wanted to let you know about it before you buy a different one.

I appreciate that! I have not seen it but I’ll definitely check it out. You think that’s necessary with my set up? I was under the impression the stock motor mount is pretty solid. For what I’m doing. Not throwing a soda can size motor on or anything lol. I went with aluminum center diff mount of course but I was gonna stock with stock motor mount.

No I don't think you need it but I did want to make you aware it is available because it looks to be a better mount than anything available and I didn’t want you to buy something only to find out about this one later and have you wish you bought this one.
