So I bought a new savox servo and it lasted less than three runs. It was pretty hot when it failed but I had only been running the car for about ten or fifteen minutes. What I don't get is how it failed so quickly. I think it's an sw-0231. It was only $40. Anyone have some insight on this?

I run dual 0231’s on my revo. So far they’ve been reliable. They’ve had about 150 runs. Did you set your dual rate?

Are your end points set right? As in, does the servo stop before it reaches a mechanical limit of the steering?

I've had a single 0231 on one of my nitro revos for a few years and it's held up fine for steering.
