Cables above ESC fan

Hi everyone

Is it normal for the battery ESC cable to be positioned over the fan? (see photos). I'm finding that the heat shrink is being battered when bashing.

I can't seem to be able to position the cable any other way other than over the fan in order for the shell to fit.

Just slap a little electrical tape or gorilla tape around it or add another sleeve of heatshrink. I keep the larger guage heatshrink around for when they wear out. The stock stuff is pretty thin. Either way not that big of a deal.

Which shell are we talking about? There are wire holders as shown in your second pic to route the wires away from the esc.

Many people also move the esc down closer to the motor on the typhon/BRCC.

It’s the stock shell it comes with. I wasn’t sure those were wire holders because you can’t “clip” the cables in. I’m guessing they’re just a guide.

Wasn’t even aware that was possible.
