Can’t turn over motor by hand

I was changing my pinion gear when I noticed that I have a hard spot when turning over my motor by hand. The car was running fine when I started working on it. I was checking gear mesh and notice the motor was real hard to turn over it will turn over by gets to a tight spot u can get it to keep going but gotta get out the pliers to get it there. Any ideas?

Is the motor shaft bent, making it bind with the spur?

Or is this just the motor magnets?

No spur gear on the shaft I have a video but can’t upload it to here

It make a grinding noise on the inside of the motor I only have like 3 run on this motor

Maybe it threw a magnet. Did you rev the motor with no pinion? They can and will over-rev and self destruct. Hopefully Arrma will Warrantee it. New motor from LumiDave35 on Ebay is like $35-$40.

Ok found the rut of all my issue got a defective motor it’s coming apart sound like rocks rolling around in there. When I changed my spur gear I could not spin the motor over. Got in contact with tower hobbies and sent them the video and they confirmed there sending me a new one!!!!!! Gotta love that warranty and great customer service!!!!!
