  1. Granite
My son has a brushed granite and he lost the battery. I tried one on my 3s 30c lipos from my crawler on it (yes i moved the jumper for LiPo). It runs fine at part throttle but after 5sec or less at full it shuts down. LiPo monitor never alarms and shows full voltage?
Any answers. Can you run a 3s on stock electronics?
If not, what burst rate is best for this model?

The Mega ESC should only have 2s lipo or 6-7 cell NiMh (7.2-8.4v) batteries.

Volt up Gear down is the rule. A 540/550 brushed can handle 12v absolutely. Just gear it down. If you are daring. But the ESC may have limitations. Yet even many cheaper upgrade brushed esc's can handle 3S. The Crawler segment bears that out. Brushed motors using 3S. So common. Gearing is the key. That's all.
In the end a 2S lipo is the natural transition for you at this point.

What the motor can handle and what the ESC can handle are two separate things tho... ?‍♂️
