Can you run a Castle 1717 without sensor wire?

While I wait for my longer sensor wire, I'm wanting to bench test things. Can you run the Castle 1717 with the XLX2 with no sensor wire?

Yes, most sensored motors will run just fine without the sensor wire, you just loose sensored capabilities.

I ran my 1717 1650kv on my MMX 8s in sensorless mode for a few days while I waited for a longer sensor harness to arrive. Castle was quick to send me the new harness: it only took around 3 days to get to me from the time I ordered it.
