Just wanted to ask since I'm quite new to this, is this movement in the shaft normal for 1100kv sensored castle motor? I've got an 800kv sensorless castle motor also and the shaft doesn't move, so just wanted to confirm. Is there a shim missing possibly or is that movement normal?

Thanks

Minimal movement front to back is ok. You don’t want any movement side to side. Once you hear clicking side to side it’s time to change the motor bearings.

You could shim it… I like just the slightest of movement, looks like yours has a good bit… Hit Castle up with that vid & they’ll send you some shims

As mentioned above there should be minimal up and down movement but NO side to side movement or the bearings are likely toast.
