500A opens up the possibility of a whole new range of motors to blow up tyres

Looks promising but never going to reach its potential on speed runs without tyres.......

I see you have found the same frustrations with the speed run side of the hobby that I have!

Remember these are theoretical/Imaginary amps. If the current worlds highest output battery is around 350 amps (SMC Extreme V2 6400mAh) how do they get 500amps?

https://www.arrmaforum.com/threads/battery-load-test-comparison-from-rcgroups.26877/

Example of the SMC V2 tested as a real 60C (advertising says 150c) (test revealed 5689 mAh versus 6400 on the label)
60c * 5.689 Ah = 341 amps

And it even comes with mounting wholes ???
That is entirely thanks to you guys on this forum. You guys gave me feedback on the Monster X 8S, saying you wish is had mounting screws and I took the feedback to our mechanical engineers and got them to add the mounting holes to the bottom of the case.

They don't get 500 Amps; It's capable of handling 500 Amps....

That’s awesome! Glad you’re here listening to feedback, giving advice and making things happen with product development/improvement @robert@castle ?

The amps are not imaginary. We have very accurate current sensing resistors in the PCB along with a high speed 14 bit ADC. I'm not going to say with the max reading is, but I highly doubt anyone will ever be able hit it. We have tested and verified that it is correct well in excess of 500 amps. Also it has a much higher resolution in the datalogs than any other product we have ever made. You should see logs with a resolution steps of 0.1 amps.

Some YouTube mega stars have already posted data logs showing 500+ amps

It is highly possible that the data visible from the testing for LiPos is limited due to their testing equipment?
LiPo Test Link

Our (the consumers) understanding is that consumer LiPos do not exceed 360 amps output. Not trying to throw stones @robert@castle we highly appreciate you coming on this forum, and sharing your knowledge.

I would love to hear more about what LiPos can truly output, if you are saying they can output 500+ amps, and these other tests we have seen are incorrect.

The comparison datalogs on this page really show how powerful this ESC is:

We are extremely excited by this ESC and can't wait for more people to try to push it to it's limits. Good luck ever getting the 50mm fan to turn on.

I am glad the price is similar as the XLX. Obviously in Europe it gets a crazy 30% reseller markup.
Looking at the datalogs it's maybe a little to obvious the both XLX logs have a current limit, whiles the XLX2's do not. And Raz his XLX2 log showing 547A?!?
Where can I buy those magical true 100C batteries?
Temps and ripple look very nice though. As my tortured XLX seems to have seen it's best days, i will definitely order one once they are available here.

A lot of those lipo tests are conducted over fairly long periods of time. They see how many Amps a lipo can output over ~a minute. Peak output is much higher than their ratings often times. We have dozens of logs over 450 amps from our beta testers. They also went through a lot of lipos and cars. I've lost count of how man people destroyed their car. You'll see a lot of Lipos rated with two C ratings, often like 60C/120C. The 60C is what they can do for an extended run, and the 120C is what they can do for short bursts. Their test equipement can read higher, but they would ruin the battery packs trying to pull that much current from them continuously.

Almost all of our beta testers had a crash that required them to rebuild their entire car. Raz was our alpha tester and ruined 3 cars and 6 lipos in his testing. We gave him permission to post that video 3 hours early in exchange for doing so much for us in the alpha and beta tests. The photo gallery in our beta group is a graveyard of dead cars and lipos.
