Castle esc questions!!!

I've reached the limit on my spektrum 160amp esc and 1250kv motor, I was looking at investing in a mamba monster x 8s vs the xlx2 due to the random burn downs. My question is do you think the 1250 spektrum motor will be an efficient motor to use with 34/34 gearing? Or should I lean more towards TP. It's a speed runner. I know the xlx2 is the way to go but until they get their issues figured out I'm kinda in the air. Just got both of my scorched rc chassis in and really want to start building. One is gt width the other is standard width drop in for the limitless. I have a mamba x in my senton and it's awesome, instantly gained 5 mph and the data logging is off the charts. Any input or ideas welcomed!

RC'n is disposable electronics business, nothing lasts forever. Try em all! I do think that if you were going sensored ESC, you should get the matching sensored can to try too.

Yeah that's the plan I was just more curious if that 1250kv spektrum motor would hold up under castle power.

Motors pull amps, batteries push volts. If the spektrum wants to eat, feed it!

Ive had the MMX8s and have two xlx2 with zero burn outs. What I’ve noticed is the motor bullets will come lose and arc. As long as your doing pre run inspections you should have no issues.

Which rig you speed running? The xlx2 is massive. But yes this is why I have two lol.
Both on 1100kv motors
Here she is next to the “bog block” hobby wing max6. She real big ;-). Loads of power. Running 1:1 in my off road mojave 40/40

Get the xlx2. Mmx8s will need a cappack.spend the extra 50$ an never worry about sag or cap.more power too.heres 140mph log from this morning. Imo 1250kv will be fine 1 to 1 gearing.im running 55×102 tp5670 1270kv at 43/29 in this log.check heat ,it'll tell ya everything.
Mmmx8s only pull 400amps.xlx2 550+
