Finally able to take the Senton to the LHS track and the on/off switch goes bad. Took the switch off and hot wired it. The guys in the store told me that is one of the only drawbacks to Castle motors is the switch. Is there a good replacement or should I just leave it hot wired?

I vote get a replacement. Does it spark more when you plug it in?
Tekin has cheap simple switches. My original BLX185 switch went bad so I cut it off and soldered a simple 5 buck on off switch from Tekin. I left the signal wire taped off since I use a program card anyways.

Out of the 3 or 4 castle esc's I run, all but one has the switch cut off due to failure. The only one that still has a switch is a new one I have in the box and my MMX on my savage flux. That one has a rubber cover over it. The others (revo v1 MMv2, hpi rebrand MMv1, sct sv3) all went bad and I cut them, soldered the wires and wrapped them up with heat shrink.
